Kentaur saddles are built in the classical English style on flexible fibre-glass trees reinforced with steel springs. Hand shaped foam is the foundation for the seat. The gullet head is reinforced with a steel plate. To assure quality control with each hand crafted piece the symmetry of the saddle tree is measured on special gear. This measurement ensures that the basis of each saddle is a perfectly symmetrical saddle tree. The demo model shown here has a #3 (wide) gullet plate. This demo model has a really wide, generous gullet. The panels are well shaped, gusseted but flat and soft. The is no narrowing of the panels in the twist area. The flaps have a strap which can be used to loop the billets through in order to give the Kari a close contact feel. Chrome tanned leather billets. Special Double French Calf Leather -- Feels very soft and comfy from the get-go. Downside is that it also shows wear more quickly than "harder" leather. White stitching accents all the curves of the leather cuts. This saddle is a small seat - 16.5" on a wide (#3) tree. Structurally sound. Stitching in excellent condition. Deeply discounted to compensate for wear marks.
