Very exciting new saddle designed in Germany, made in Argentina and constructed with leather from Austria and France! The Stigur comes with the easiest gullet change system I've seen so far. Four width sizes possible with one saddle! The polycarbon tree takes the adjustment immediately, but perfects the fit and contours the entire tree in 6-8 hours. The points of tree are extended - This positions the contact point out of the way of the shoulder rotation. I don't know of any other saddle made for Icelandic horses with this feature. Panels lined with an open cell material that keeps the feel of the flocking soft against the horse's back even as it ages. New technologically developed flocking purposely resists sweat so as to be able to conform to the shape of the horse on each and every ride. And the easy-access panel design will save you lots of money when it comes time to relfock! Every facet of design was thought through with the Icelandic horse in mind although the Stigur is enjoying success with other short-backed, wide barreled breeds as well.
